I have been a Peace of Mind customer since Bonnie opened in 2008. Over the years she has visited, walked, fed, played with, and taken care of my Labrador Retriever (Jax), Bloodhound (Blue) and currently my 3-year-old Lab-mix (Boone). Bonnie has a real passion and special way with animals. I know my dogs are always happy to see her and in good hands when I am at work or away. Bonnie is reliable, attentive, trustworthy, and always keeps me informed during or after her visits—which gives me Peace of Mind!

Peace of Mind Pet Sitting Services has lovingly cared for my dogs and cats for over 4 years, for both vacation care and weekday care as needed. I know they have been well taken care of by Bonnie, whether I’ve been gone for a day or a week! The tail wags and loud purring are proof of that!

I cannot say enough good things about Bonnie and the way she cares for my pets. She has been helping my family for the past 5 years and has done a wonderful job taking care of my cat and 2 dogs when I work late or go on vacation. My dog has terrible separation anxiety and so I’ve had Bonnie stay in my home when I travel so he won’t be alone. Aside from his immediate family, she is the only one who can keep him calm at night. I trust her with my pets and my home! Bonnie has a calming, natural way with pets and they truly love her. She can also be counted on if your dog needs any special care. I highly recommend.

Bonnie, the owner of Peace of Mind Pet Sitting, was a blessing to me and my cocker spaniel. I worked five days a week as a nurse and she came every day for a pet visit; she walked her rain or shine for six years. Bonnie would text me with updates and pictures that provided me with peace of mind each day.

Bonnie has been caring for our animals for 10 years I would guess, and she really does give us peace of mind about our animals and home while we’re away.  I like that she’s trained in pet first aid, is bonded, and carries insurance. And any time she notices something out of the ordinary, she contacts us, which we really appreciate.

Bonnie picks up our mail, feeds and loves on everyone, waters plants, walks our dog around the property, and even keeps a water source filled for the bees. We have a small farm and she has been great about watering plants, blueberry bushes, and the greenhouse at times. On one visit, she noticed that a big storm had split a scaffold branch on a fruit tree, so she propped up the branch and wrapped the break securely—beyond the call of duty!—and the branch lived and bore fruit for years afterward.

We feel fortunate to have Bonnie’s service available to us.

We have had several dog sitters and no one comes close to comparing to Bonnie Rardin. We moved to Chapel Hill four years ago and one of our big concerns is finding a trusted person to take care of our fur babies.

We don’t have children so you can imagine our love for our dogs and how we spoil them. One of our neighbors highly recommended Bonnie so we called her immediately. Within hours she was at our home meeting the pups and putting our mind at ease that they would be in good hands. I felt very comfortable with Bonnie minutes after we met. My dogs love her and get very excited when she comes to visit.

When dog sitting, Bonnie communicates often with very specific updates and sends pictures.  We never have to worry about how they are doing.

Last year my husband and I were out of town and my mother was visiting our home. My mother got locked out of the home and couldn’t get hold of us or any of the neighbors. She called Bonnie to see what she could do. Bonnie was at my home within minutes to let my mother into the home. It was hot this time of year and being outside for a long period of time could have caused an issue. I owe Bonnie so much for taking care of my mother. I can’t thank her enough.

She goes above and beyond her job and is one of the most caring people I know. She is more than a dog sitter. We value her so much!

Bonnie helped us in a pinch when our dog got sick. My work schedule didn’t coordinate well to take him to the vet during their open hours. Bonnie came by our house, picked up the sick dog, took him to the vet and returned him home. She left careful instructions as to the vet’s advice and ensured that he was comfortable and well taken care of.

Bonnie also provided excellent care when our oldest dog became injured and hurt his knee just before our vacation. She worked with him through the time that we were away to assess his mobility, assist him as needed, monitored his need for pain control, and she provided some suggestions upon our return. It was reassuring to know that he was under excellent care while we were away.  She treats our animals as if they are her own pets.

Bonnie is always good to communicate any issues with us while we are away and is quick to respond any time I reach out to her. Bonnie is attuned to animal behavior and has given us some suggestions that have proven helpful to reduce our animals’ stress while we are away. She spends plenty of cuddle time during her visits with our three pets. She ensures that our home is safe and well tended while we are away. Our pets are very fond of her. We have had several pet sitters before, and Bonnie is by far the most attentive and comprehensive that we have experienced! I recommend Bonnie’s pet care services to my friends.
